Fellow Motor Officers and Guests;
On behalf of the North American Motor Officers Association I welcome you to our website. As a group of professional motorcycle officers, we operate on a set of goals and objectives in part to exchange information and provide the best training possible for our members.
One way we stay on task with these goals is by members of various agencies combining their efforts to host an annual international training symposium in which these skill sets are practiced and fine tuned. This year is no different. Members from Canada, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho are coming together for this year's training symposium in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The planning committee is stepping up the training pace this year with three days of training and riding.
As you will see on the schedule of events planned this year, the training opportunities are many. Each rider will several hours of riding time with instructors present to help those that need to "knock the rust off", as well as other skill building exercises. After the training sessions are complete, each rider will demonstrate his/her abilities in several events that showcase their talents. Awards will be presented to the top three riders in several events, as well as other traditional awards.
At the general membership meeting there will be an election of new officers as well as the announcement of new exciting changes the Executive Board has been working on this past year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the planning committee, agency leaders, and sponsors for supporting this years training event. Without their support this event would not happen.
I am proud to be President of such a fine group of professionals and I welcome you to this year's "2008 International NAMOA Training Symposium."
